From image to sound

How soundscape generation works

Start with a scene you can see and create an atmosphere you can hear. Sonixifi uses your image as the starting point for AI-generated audio.

  1. Choose your image

    Sign in, select a photo or take a new one, and crop the scene. Landscapes, streets, seascapes, and artwork can all be starting points.

  2. Generate a soundscape

    Choose a length from 10 to 60 seconds. Sonixifi generates an audio scene inspired by the image. An internet connection is required.

  3. Listen and remix

    Use headphones for spatial audio, then adjust the individual sound layers in the stem mixer to shape the atmosphere.

  4. Save and share

    Keep the result in your library, save a different mix, or export and share your soundscape as a video.

What is an AI soundscape generator?

It creates an audio environment with layers of sound. Sonixifi uses an image to guide that process, turning visual scenes into atmospheric spatial audio that you can listen to, remix, and share.

How do I turn a photo into sound?

Open Sonixifi on Android or iOS, sign in, and choose or capture an image. Crop it, choose a duration, and start generation. You can then listen to the result and adjust its sound layers.

Does Sonixifi recover the actual sound recorded with a photo?

No. Sonixifi generates an imagined soundscape inspired by the image. It does not recover original audio or verify what the scene really sounded like.

Can I change the generated soundscape?

Yes. The stem mixer lets you adjust individual sound layers, including ambient sounds and events. Save the changes or keep a separate version of your mix.

How long are the soundscapes, and how do I share them?

You can generate soundscapes from 10 to 60 seconds long. Your finished creation is saved as a video combining the image and audio, ready to replay, export, or share.

Do I need an account or subscription?

On Android, you can listen to featured weekly soundscapes on Home without signing in. Creating soundscapes and accessing your library require sign-in. Generation uses your plan's creation allowance; an optional Pro subscription is available. Check the app for current allowances and pricing.
